Facebook is Run by the CIA
Is the CIA Running Facebook?
Most of us are aware that the U.S. government has access to everything we post on Facebook. They’ve admitted that everything we post is archived for the purpose of data-mining. Facebook’s makes it clear in their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy that in using the site, you’re granting them permission to do whatever they choose with your information.
Facebook also tracks other websites you visit, even when you’re not logged into the site. There are countless pages across the web that have “Like” buttons. If you click those, Facebook is tracking your website history.
What you may not be aware of is that Facebook is actually funded and run by the CIA. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Facebook is now the primary source of information for the CIA.
In the following video, the Deputy CIA Director, Christopher Sartinsky, states that “after years of secretly monitoring the public, we were astounded so many people would willingly publicize where they live, their religious and political views, an alphabetized list of all their friends, personal email addresses, phone numbers, hundreds of photos of themselves, and even status updates about what they were doing moment to moment….It is truly a dream come true for the CIA.”

What’s Really Happening on Facebook
Yes, the above was meant to be funny. But don’t dismiss it entirely, because there is a great deal of truth to it. The government really is tracking what we do on Facebook. They’ve admitted that. Here’s a video that contains all the facts you need to know about what’s really going on with Facebook.
(second copy of video after the first Facebook expose was removed by the user after about 3 years?)
So let’s recap, the CIA is tracking everything you say and do on Facebook. They know who you’re friends with and what groups you’re affiliated with. In light of the fact that the government has a truly absurd list of things that make people suspected terrorists, this is very concerning. Even though the majority of us are good, peaceful, law-abiding citizens, most of us fall into one of these ridiculous categories.
After all, just believing in freedom or having more than 7 days worth of food in your home makes you suspect. If you dare support a political candidate or party that the government considers “extreme” (Tea Party, Libertarian, etc.) and publicize this on Facebook, you’re really asking for it. Everyone should tremble in fear over the peace- and freedom-loving people! They may just do a sit-in type of protest, and God knows that means people need to fear for their lives!
Is it time to revert back to pre-social networking days? Probably a wise choice. Even though that won’t erase the data you’ve already shared, at least you won’t be giving the CIA countless more details about your life that they may decide to use against you in the future.
If you just can’t or won’t permanently tear yourself away from Facebook, at least make sure to clear your cookies before visiting other sites and don’t click the “Like” buttons on other pages. And for heaven’s sake, do not post where you are, what you’re having for dinner, who you’re with, and the last time you had a bowel movement (and FYI the rest of us don’t want to know stuff like that).
Technology seems like a great thing, until you find yourself in the position we’re in today, where the government is using it to violate our privacy at every turn. Something is very wrong here. Big plans must be in the works when they will spend millions of dollars to spy on people who are doing nothing more than going about their day-to-day lives, so be careful what you reveal on Facebook and other social media sites.

Although the Onion is full of shit, the article does touch upon some interesting ideas. I would probably have not used the Onion in this post, but still, it gets you thinking.

Maybe you should watch the 2nd video. Yes, the Onion video is for entertainment purposes, however if you don’t believe the government is tracking what you’re doing on Facebook, you’re the one who’s the idiot LOL They’ve admitted that.

No need to delete your comment. Maybe if he reads it twice from two different people, it will sink in! 🙂

Deleting your account does nothing. Everything is already recorded, maybe be careful of what you further put on social sites in the future….
