The Looming Threat of Gun Control

As you may or may not already be aware, the UN Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty is currently underway in New York.  The conference will continue though July 27th.

President Obama is involved in the negotiations, and if the treaty is ratified, it will be a devastating blow to our Second Amendment rights.

Not only is the treaty aimed at illegal weapons trafficking, the UN is also targeting our constitutional right to own small arms.  Their intention is to create a registry where gun owners will need to register their firearms with the UN.

That’s correct, the United Nations feels that is has a right to monitor and control gun ownership among American citizens.

If this doesn’t concern you, it should!  Throughout history, we have seen the devastating effects of governments implementing gun control.

This is NOT for our own good and not for the safety of the people.  Do not be fooled.

Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS) has created a letter directed to the Obama administration demanding that it oppose any treat that would infringe upon the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.

It is crucial that you contact your Senators immediately and ask them to sign the Moran letter.

The Gun Owners of America has made it easy by posting a pre-written letter on their website that you can send to your Senators.

Please do not wait!  Contact your Senators today, because if we lose our Second Amendment rights, we may never get them back.  We have to stand up and let our elected officials know that we will not sit back and allow our Constitutional liberties to be taken away from us.
